St. Philip's is an Episcopal church started in 2002 to serve Frisco and
the surrounding communities. Already a significant number of people from the
community have become part of St. Philip's.
The Rev. Clay Lein is the founding pastor and
has served in North Dallas for the last twelve years. His background includes
an engineering degree with an MBA and eight years with Intel Corp., before
following God's call to the Priesthood.
Our staff is growing to serve the
ministries and more people are becoming committed members
of this new congregation every week.
What do we want to do?
We began this community of faith believing that a living, relevant faith
can radically change our lives. Our goal is to invite people to experience
the life transforming power of Jesus Christ and then help one another to live
faith-filled lives that impact the world.
How are we doing that?
St. Philip's invites people to experience excellent worship, relevant study
of the Bible and meaningful participation in networks of authentic friendships.
Our worship is a traditional Anglican liturgy but
with a contemporary freshness.
Our focus is on the study and practical application of the Scriptures for all ages. That includes Sunday
School, youth group and multiple seminars and classes.
Community is being
built in worship, in small group gatherings in
homes, and in serving alongside one another both locally and around the world.
Where are we now?
After worshipping in an elementary school for four years, we opened our 24,000
square foot Stonebrook campus (located at 6400 Stonebrook Parkway; about 1/8
mile west of the Dallas North Tollway/Stonebrook Parkway intersection) in
April, 2006 .
The campus includes two buildings - our Education Building is home to our
staff and a hub of activity for a variety of ministry meetings and activities,
education for adults, youth and children, some fellowship gatherings and St.
Philip's Episcopal Preschool.
Our Worship Building provides a sanctuary for our whole congregation to
meet each Sunday morning at 9:30 and 11:00 for worship services and gives
additional space for educational and fellowship activities and events.
