Adult learning and spiritual growth never end.

No matter where you are in your faith journey, you can learn and grow as a disciple of Jesus, discern the work of the Holy Spirit in your life, generously bless others, and engage in making more disciples.

Life Groups

Life Groups are formed and led by parishioners. The members in these groups grow close to each other as they mature as disciples of Christ through study, discussion, prayer, and service. Many of these groups meet in member’s homes or on our campus.

Other Groups

St. Philip’s establishes a number of groups to support a specific ministry of the church. These are typically led by a lay leader with support and/or direction from clergy and staff ministry leaders. They are vital to the ongoing operation of our church, special events, and worship services.

Here are a few examples:

Women’s Bible Study
Wednesdays, 10 am or 6 pm

This group meets in the fall and spring for 6 to 12 weeks to delve into God’s Word. The selected studies usually include daily study and video teaching. Morning and evening groups are available.

Word for Word Scripture Study
Mondays, 10-11:30 am

This Women’s Scripture Study covers every word of a selected book of the Bible with time for teaching and discussion.

Men’s Bible Study
Monday Nights, 7-8 pm

Men of all ages are invited to join us on Monday nights for a deeper examination of books of the Bible. This group meets in-person and online for flexibility.

Men’s Prayer Group
Wednesdays, Noon

A group of guys who meet midweek for an hour of prayer, Biblical teaching, discussion, and fellowship. No advance preparation is needed – join anytime!

Mom Connect
Meets every other Thursday, 9:30-11 am

Connect with other moms as we grow our faith, laugh, comfort, encourage, and have FUN together through the journey of motherhood! Mom Connect meets in the fall and spring every other Thursday from 9:30-11 am (free childcare with registration). We also plan fun Moms’ Night Out events throughout the year.

Safety & Emergency Response Team (SERT)

This vital team is dedicated to the safety of our parishioners, guests, and staff by monitoring activity on our campus during services and events, and responding to emergencies, as needed. No experience is needed but a background check and training is required to join the team.

Daughters of the King

Daughters of the King is an order of women devoted to serving Christ. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the vision is to know Christ and to make Him known to others. There is a 3-month training and discernment period. Our St. Philip’s Daughters of the King Order prays weekly for the needs of our congregation.

Christians in Fellowship (CIF)

This dynamic group of adults connects the hearts and lives of our church family through:

  • Monthly Social Gatherings – for food, fun, prayer and outreach

  • Special Events – visits to places of interest; trips to the theatre, concerts, etc. and an annual Thanksgiving Luncheon

  • Outreach – giving time, talent and treasure to support special St. Philip’s projects and charitable organizations
