Growing as a Disciple
Discipleship is a lifelong pursuit to be more like Jesus and help others do the same. We learn to be a disciple by examining how Jesus lived. When Jesus called his first disciples, he didn’t choose perfect people; he chose regular people who would be all-in. Those disciples spent time with Jesus and learned how to live a life filled with love, truth, compassion, and generosity that would impact the world for generations.
Jesus is still calling regular people to follow him, to be his disciples. When we accept Jesus’ call and choose to be his disciple, he expects us to be all-in, continually learning and stretching ourselves to be more like him and to help others do the same.
St. Philip’s is committed to growing disciples who impact the world for Christ.
