“…whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. ”
Dear St. Philip’s Family,
At St. Philip’s, we believe stewardship is far more than paying bills or meeting a budget. It’s about growing deeper in our relationship with God and living generously in response to his abundant grace. When we give, we participate in the mission and ministry God has entrusted to our church—impacting lives here in our community and around the world.
This year, our stewardship campaign theme is Harvest: Sowing, Growing, and Gathering, inspired by 2 Corinthians 9:6-7. Just as a harvest reflects the fruit of faithful planting and tending, so our giving reflects a heart of discipleship. Stewardship is not about obligation—it’s about joyfully asking, “Lord, what percentage of my income are you calling me to give?”
During our Harvest Celebration & Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, November 1 at 5 pm, and again during worship services on Sunday, November 2, we are asking our attendees and members to submit their estimates of giving (pledge) to support the ministries of our church—caring for our neighbors, serving those in need, and sharing the love of Christ locally and globally in 2026.
Each estimate of giving is completed voluntarily and confidentially—an act of worship between you and God.
As the governing body of St. Philip’s we encourage your participation in the Harvest Stewardship Campaign. We trust God to stir hearts as we celebrate his goodness and respond in generosity. Our Harvest Stewardship Team and leadership are here to encourage and guide, but this is a journey we all share together as one church family.
We are excited for all that God has in store for St. Philip’s. Thank you in advance for joining us in this year’s Harvest Celebration as we sow, grow, and gather—trusting God for an abundant harvest.
With gratitude and joy,
St. Philip’s Vestry
